Religion is so strong and popular that it makes no demand on the intelligence.+

Religion is so strong and popular because it makes no demands on the intelligence. It simply requires blind belief in the religious idea of God.
The religious believers never doubt their religion and religious belief because they never use their reason, because they start and conclude that the religion they belong alone is true, because they never question.
The unintelligent people have a tendency to follow religion because of inherited conditioning or samskara injected by parental grooming and societal obligation. Therefore, they will refuse to come out of their religious fold.
People are fanatics about their ideas of God. People do not open their eyes because they are incapable of accepting the truth hidden by their religion
People believe in old myths propagated by their religion. Every religion has propagated its own myth. Every religious belief contradicts other beliefs. It is the mere blind belief accepted as the truth without verification and evidence. This causes division.
The most people are not capable of understanding the falsity propagated by religion, so it is useless to invoke their capacity to think. They fall prey to the prison of the falsity propagated by the religion.
The paradise or heaven, and hell are based on people’s imagination of religious believers.
Every religion has its own ideas of paradise, heaven, and hell. But where people have a reasoning capacity, they begin to disbelieve through the contradictions of various contending religious claims and descriptions.
The religionists who talk of paradise, heaven, hell, etc., as though they had seen them to exist and as if they have visited heaven and hell on a conducted tour.
The religionists who talk of God are unaware of God in truth, according to their own scriptures.
They are so fanatic about their religious God based on blind faith, even though their own scriptures, which they hold as sacred what to worship as God and what not to worship other than God.
It is no use discussing with religious believers because they will not accept anything other than their accepted truth based on their inherited beliefs.
What is the use of endless discussion based on belief? If one says, "God is without the attributes," another will reply, "No, God has attributes!
If one says his religion is higher, another will say his religion is higher." It is impossible to get anywhere with such talk because both sides are merely imagining.
Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.
Modern science has exposed many Religious dogmas as myths. All these dogmas were introduced in the primitive era before people had the benefit of modern science.
Science attempts to objectively discover how life works, and religion makes one blindly believe and cast their burden on blind belief without verification, to live in peace and harmony in worldly life.
The seekers' main aim is to investigate both dual and nondual experiences to find and define the underlying truth in everything, thereby realizing what the ultimate truth is. Because of so many beliefs propagated by a belief system, people think seekers of truth are atheists because they do not accept the beliefs blindly.
The seekers of truth believe that the religionists and atheists both are believers because religionist believes in God based on blind faith and atheists believe in the belief of no God.
The craving for religion and the fear injected by religion that not following its rites and dogmas will bring punishment, the inability to give up religion even after realizing its fallacies and absurdities because of the inherited conditioning, the subconscious is not accepting anything other than what it is conditioned to accept and reject.
Unless you give up religion and the religious idea of God, it is impossible to realize God in truth. Truth must be proved here and now, on this earth. If that cannot be done, we cannot consider any such idea, as the existence of heaven and hell is untrue.
Since the Atman, the Self, is eternal and infinite, it comprises the only truth. The goal of the Vedic religion is to realize that the invisible Atman, which is present in the form of consciousness, is actually nothing but Brahman or God in truth.
The Vedic Gods are said, in the Vedas and Upanishads, to be only the Atman. For this reason, "ekam sat" (all is one), and all is Brahman. Thus, the goal is to realize Atman, which is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness.
The Atman, which is present in the form of consciousness, is nothing but Brahman or God in truth.
Realization of Atman or the consciousness as the ultimate truth or Brahman is truth realization or Self-Realization. Self-realization is God realization because the Atman, the Self, is God in truth.
The Vedas confirm that God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.
Yajurveda – chapter- 32: ~ God is the Supreme Spirit, has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
People who worship God based on blind belief are hallucinating that they become one with such God.
Vedas itself says: May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman? Thus, to know the real God, Self-realization is necessary. Self-realization is God realization. Self-realization is real worship.
How can you worship God? That implies two ~ the worshipper and the worshiped, whereas God is nondual. One can worship his idea of God only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as apart.
When Upanishads and Vedas declare that “God is the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself then why accept another God in place of the Atman or worship anything other than the Atman.
God is the Supreme Being, the One eternal homogeneous essence, indivisible consciousness and intelligence, which is beyond form, time, and space. To which the Sages describe in a variety of ways through diverse words.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)
Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the true nature of the Universal Essence, which is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained the knowledge of Atman, worships Self as~ Atman (God) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare."
The Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material, then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.
Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

Most people are not capable of understanding the falsity propagated by religion, so it is useless to invoke their capacity to think. They fall prey to the prison of the falsity propagated by the religion. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
