Advaitic wisdom is not concerned with Hinduism or Buddhism or any other any other religion but only with God in Truth.+

The universe is nothing but an illusion created out of the invisible Soul, the Self. The invisible Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is God in truth.
God in Truth can be realized by acquiring the Self-knowledge, or Brahma Gnana, or Atma Gnana. Ultimately, God alone exists as eternal existence.
The Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is associated with universal truth or Brahman or God. Advaitic wisdom is not concerned with Hinduism or Buddhism or any other “ism,” or any other religion, but only with God in Truth, which is universal.
God in truth is realized only when ignorance vanishes through Advaitic wisdom.
The Soul, the Self, is the real God and eternal Truth. The truth reveals itself to the serious seekers seeking the truth. The truth is more easily accessible to the seeker through the Gnanis who impart Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to struggling humanity, which is mostly groping in darkness.
Since the invisible Soul, the Self, is in the bondage of the dualistic illusion (universe) can be redeemed only through Advaitic wisdom.
The invisible Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate reality hidden by the dualistic illusion of form, time, and space. Gnanis who attain complete unity with the ultimate reality, or Brahman or God in truth.
Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is gained by those who seek earnestly.
That is why Jesus said:~"Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find it, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)
By realizing the universe in which we exist is created out of a single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is real and eternal.
When the truth is realized, then the world in which we exist will not disappear, but the unreal nature of the world in which we exist is exposed. In the same way as the unreal nature of the dream is exposed when the waking takes place.
Consciousness (Spirit) is the root element of the universe. From the consciousness, the universe comes into existence. In consciousness, the universe resides. And into consciousness, the universe is dissolved. Consciousness is the parent of all that is there.
The invisible Soul is hidden by the mind. The invisible Soul is the cause of the mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The INVISIBLE Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
The universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as the invisible Soul in deep sleep (nonduality).
The one that witnesses the coming and going of the three states is the invisible Soul. From the standpoint of the invisible Soul, the three states that come and go are merely an illusion.
The mind is created out of the invisible Soul, and the invisible Soul is the cause of the mind.
The chicken is in the egg, and the egg is in the chicken. The tree is in the seed, and the seed is in the tree.
The same thing that was told by the Vedas was repeated by Saint John (10-38)~ Father is in me and I am in Father.
Thus, the father (Spirit or Soul) is our immediate neighbor- love thy neighbor. Therefore, one has to love the Spirit or Soul or God, to become one with the formless Spirit or Soul, the real God.
The Spirit is the creator, sustainer, and dissolver of the dualistic illusion or Maya.

Self-realization is necessary to comprehend the ultimate truth, also known as Brahman or God in truth. Self-realization itself is God-realization. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
